On July 5, 2023, the Philippine College of Criminology’s teaching and non-teaching employees gathered to attend the General Assembly themed “Champions of Excellence, Cultivating Passion and Integrity in the Workplace” at the JFAB Gymnasium.
The main purpose of the event is to discuss the institution’s objectives and goals for the year whilst re-aligning strategies to the college’s values: Passion, Integrity, and Excellence, and Five Focus Areas including: Growth, Productivity, Academic Excellence, Student Experience, and Employee Experience. Pres. Bautista put emphasis on the growth initiative for the school year 2023-2024; enrollment, expansion, new offerings, and partnership. The exceptional performance of Ria Velasquez in the recent Criminologist Licensure Examination, ranking as top five (5), Ria proved the excellent education provided by her alma mater.
President Bautista applauded the PCCR Serpent Eagles’ Senior Women’s Basketball, Serpent Eagles’ Junior Women’s Basketball, and Serpent Eagles’ Senior Men’s Basketball Team for being the National Universities and Colleges Athletic Association (NUCAA) Season One (1). Coach Gene Roland “Bang” Tumapat was specially acknowledged for his phenomenal management and vision for the college’s athletics department. Each of the athletes were awarded with certificates and monetary prize for bringing the bacon home.
The PCCR community enthusiastically joined the groovy dance performances brought by the teaching and non-teaching employees, awed by the dramatic interpretation of “Ang Daigdig ay Isang Patak ng Luha”, and competed in answering questions from Pres. Bautista herself to win prizes. Mr. Eduard Solomon, the Assistant Vice President for Student Experience, also honored the top Bayanihan 2023 participants who actively referred prospective Batang 641 to improve PCCR’s enrollment.
