MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine College of Criminology (PCCR) turned Roxas Boulevard into a burst of color and energy on May 19, 2024, as it hosted “Takbo PCCR Para sa Iskolar,” a lively color fun run dedicated to supporting its scholarship programs.
Students, faculty, public officials, community members, and running enthusiasts came together for the cause, filling the race routes with excitement and vibrant hues. The event featured three categories—a 10KM race for seasoned runners, a 5KM route for intermediate participants, and a 3KM fun run perfect for beginners. Along the way, runners were showered with colorful powders, symbolizing unity, joy, and the transformative power of education.
Beyond promoting health and wellness, the event reinforced PCCR’s commitment to community engagement. Public officials and faculty members underscored the significance of collaborative efforts in uplifting future scholars, highlighting the college’s mission to provide educational opportunities through innovative initiatives.
The celebration continued with a mini-concert, while participants enjoyed refreshments, freebies, and post-run festivities. Top finishers were awarded medals, recognizing their endurance and dedication to the sport and the cause.
