With a roll of prestigious experts bannering the core values of Leadership and Excellence, The Philippine College of Criminology (PCCR) College of Criminal Justice (CCJ) will be offering free final coaching and review to all Batang 641 who are set to take the June 2022 Criminologists Licensure Examination (CLE). The six-day series, packed with subjects and topics covered by the said examination, will help the reviewees pass, if not top, the coming CLEs.

The first day of the review will tackle the subject of Criminal Law and Jurisprudence, which focuses on studying general legal ideas and principles in the Revised Penal Code Books 1 and 2, evidence, procedure, and the criminal justice system. This topic will be taught by Atty. Jeffrey Bajita, RCrim., who was ranked first overall amongst the CLE passers in 2007.

The following day, Dr. Rhem Rick Corpuz, RCrim., will take over the reins and discuss the topic of Criminal Sociology, which aims to foster critical thinking concerning the causes and control of crime and to explore the social construction of crime. Dr. Corpuz is currently the Program Chair of the PCCR Graduate School, and was ranked 2nd overall in the 2008 CLE.

On the third day of the review, Atty. Charlene Agrito, RCrim., who was ranked 8th overall in the 2010 Examinations, will discuss the subject of Correctional Administration. In this class, the reviewees will learn the relation of corrections to the criminal justice system, theories underlying correctional practice, and the role of institutions within the corrections system.

The topic of Crime Detection and Investigation will be taken up on the 4th day. In this subject, which will be discussed by Prof. Sammy Estoque, RCrim., the class will discuss a substantial and necessary foundation for crime investigation and detection guided by the relevant knowledge and skills in formal and technical inquiry.

CCJ Dean Jezreel Vicente, RCrim. will discuss the subject of Forensic Science on the fifth day.  The subject, which is also one of the innovative new programs of PCCR, is a cluster of the Criminology program that focuses on the study and application of the scientific method to the process of law and involves the collection, examination, evaluation, and interpretation of evidence.

To cap off the week-long review, the topic of Law Enforcement Administration will be discussed by Prof. Eric Danglosi, RCrim. This field of study of Criminology prepares individuals to apply theories and practices of organization management and criminal justice to the administration of public law enforcement agencies and operations.

Interested reviewees must register online via https://bit.ly/PCCRCLEReview2022. Limited slots are available, and applicants must be a graduate of PCCR. The reviewees must also present their Notice of Acceptance for the 2022 CLEs in order to be part of the review class.
